Remington is a fourth generation resident of the Seguin area. He resides 10 minutes from the beautiful town of Rosseau where he is raising a fifth generation of the Steele family. Rem has two beautiful girls and an amazing wife that he spends as much time as he possibly can with. They love to spend a large amount of their time outdoors hiking, fishing and ATVing around the beautiful landscapes of Muskoka. On long weekends, camping on their family owned property in Maynooth near the town of Bancroft is a family favourite. 

Rem is part owner of a family run contracting company that services the entire Muskoka area and beyond. The company was founded in 1999 and is located in the growing town of Rosseau.  It is currently owned and operated by Rem along with his two brothers-in-law. While the company’s main focus is on site development and structural steel they also do road construction and hardscaping. It is important to them to contribute to the community so their company loves to donate to many of the local events such as the Rosseau fall fair, Pumpkinfest and the town of Bracebridge for their Aquatic leadership program for youth.

In his spare time Rem loves to enjoy many of his hobbies, the top one being golf. Having been a member of the Seguin Valley Golf Club for few years now he tries to get out golfing with friends and family weekly, and if the weather isn’t cooperating then he practices in a simulator at home. In 2006 after finishing his Business Admin course at Georgian college in Barrie, he achieved his pilot’s license and continues to fly out of the recently expanded local Parry Sound municipal airport.
